Ethiopian Airlines, the largest network operating carrier in Africa, is set to commence a new four-time weekly passenger service to Hanoi, Vietnam.
This new route will further enhance Ethiopian Airlines’ global connectivity and provide convenient travel options for passengers traveling between Africa and Southeast Asia as of July 10, 2025.
“We are pleased to expand our presence in Southeast Asia and enhance air connectivity for our customers in the region,” Mesfin Tasew, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, said regarding the planned flight.
The CEO also added, “This new route will create opportunities for stronger ties and collaborations between Vietnam and our extensive global network. We look forward to bringing our renowned service to Vietnam and further growing our presence in this dynamic market.”
The commencement of this flight will provide an essential link between Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Airlines’ hub, and Hanoi, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
The service is expected to further enhance trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Ethiopia, while also facilitating connections to Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive network across Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
It also strengthens Ethiopian’s position as the largest and most connected airline in Africa, offering seamless travel to various destinations via Addis Ababa.
The carrier currently serves more than 160 domestic and international passenger and cargo destinations across five continents, operating ultra-modern aircraft such as Boeing 737s, 777s, 787s, Airbus A350-900, A350-1000 and De Havilland Q400.
